We are delighted that once again the Lancashire Sports Awards are sponsored by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust provides health and well-being services for a population of around 1.4million people. The services provided include community services such as health visiting, podiatry, sexual health and dentistry as well as inpatient and community mental health services. The Trust covers the whole of the county and employs around 7,000 members of staff across more than 400 sites.

Chief Executive of Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, Heather Tierney-Moore said: “ It is our pleasure to be the headline sponsor for the Lancashire Sports Award and to recognise people from across the county that are getting involved in sport and being active. Living an active life and participating in activity alongside others has so many benefits to a person’s overall well-being so it is great to see such efforts being formally recognised and rewarded. We are proud to play a part in that as one of our main aspirations is to support the health and well-being of people living in the county.

“We also share in common with Lancashire Sports Partnership the values of respect and excellence and recognise the role that participating in sport plays in terms of instilling these values amongst young people and within communities. All in all, it is a great event that celebrates the fantastic efforts of people that are getting involved in sport in their communities and we look forward to congratulating them on the night.”

A message to all the 2016 nominees

Well done for the part that you have played in getting involved and taking part in sport. Every single person that has been nominated deserves to be recognised and Lancashire Care would like to thank you for playing your part whether that is being active or getting other people in Lancashire active.
